SOURCE AMNESIA - JUN 27 ANMARI MËTSA YABI WILI performes "Snakes" by PAULINE OLIVEROS

Please join us for the last event of the exhibition Source Amnesia on Friday, 27th of June at 8pm at OSLO10, Oslostrasse 10, Basel.

Anmari Mëtsa Yabi Wili will perform “Snakes” from the book “Anthology of Text Scores and Deep Listening" by pioneer composer Pauline Oliveros. Anthology of Text Scores and Deep Listening is a comprehensive collection of individual and group meditations/performances that embrace her ideas of sonic awareness in music, and life in general.

Pauline Oliveros has been a figure of the classical and electronic avant-garde for decades. Her careers as writer, composer and performer have been dedicated to the exploration of music as a psychosomatic means of expanding consciousness. Deep listening, a discipline she developed during the 1990s, bypasses conventional music theory in favour of expanding consciousness through cultivating a keener ear.
